The agreement combines Kemira’s on-site services with GE's advanced water technology to deliver “a seamless offering” to the global pulp and paper industry, stated the release.
The release reported that GE’s latest and most advanced boiler and utility area cooling product technologies, membrane cleaning chemistry and the entire chemistry water portfolio is available for the first time to the pulp and paper industry.
Remote monitoring and diagnostic products and Novus* polymers for wastewater treatment are included in the agreement as well, continued the release.
Pulp and paper manufacturers, noted the release, “also will have access to experts at GE’s Service Reliability Center for 24-hour monitoring and support, all backed by both GE and Kemira on-site expertise.”
“Pulp and paper mills use vast amounts of water to create an end product while also generating considerable wastewater,” said Kevin Cassidy, chemical and monitoring solutions general manager, water and process technologies for GE Power & Water. “GE is eager to bring our water solutions to the pulp and paper industry, and Kemira is well-positioned to bring our advanced technologies to their customers.”
