PITTSBURGH, Pa. — Gregory Ayres has been named a senior hydrogeologist at Leggette, Brashears & Graham Inc. (LBG), a professional groundwater and environmental services firm, according to a press release.

Ayres will be responsible for managing the firm’s newly opened Pittsburgh office, focusing on consulting services for clientele in the energy sector, as well as various environmental needs of the firm’s industrial clients, reported the release.

The environmental services provided by the Pittsburgh office include waste management, potable water-supply development and permitting, preparation of spill and response plans and management of groundwater resources, the release noted.

Ayres has over 15 years of experience conducting geological and hydrogeological evaluations, environmental investigations/site assessments and permitting efforts for environmental compliance, continued the release, with areas of expertise including designing and implementing soil and groundwater investigations; pilot testing and remedial action plans to address soil and groundwater contamination at petroleum refineries and distribution terminals; groundwater monitoring and reporting; technical assistance for brownfields redevelopment of industrial facilities; decommissioning of facilities associated with oil field exploration; and Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments.

According to the release, prior to joining LBG, he was a senior project manager based in the Pittsburgh office of a regional environmental firm, where he was responsible for managing environmental remediation projects.
