H2O Innovation wins contracts for potable water treatment systems

Three water authorities authorized the projects, which include the design, manufacture and commissioning of ultrafiltration (UF) systems.

QUEBEC CITY — Nov. 5, 2015 — H2O Innovation was awarded three contracts totaling $8.9 million for the design of potable water treatment systems, according to a press release.

With these agreements, H2O Innovation’s sales backlog reaches $44.3 million as of Nov. 5, excluding the sales backlog from its specialty products and services business lines, noted the release.

Three water authorities authorized the projects, which include the design, manufacture and commissioning of ultrafiltration (UF) systems, stated the release. The Oregon, Texas and Virginia systems will use the company’s open platform technology to allow interchangeability between different brands of UF membrane modules.

In Texas, H2O Innovation’s system will produce 11.3 million gallons per day (MGD) of potable water with a UF membrane system of five trains, reported the release. The project upgrades the city of Sherman’s aging treatment system will providing more efficient treatment.

The Lebanon, Oregon, contract will produce a system to treat water from the South Santiam River, generating 4.5 MGD of potable water, shared the release. "This project represents an important opportunity to introduce, in the state of Oregon, the company’s membrane filtration knowledge and its unique FiberFlex skid," stated Frédéric Dugré, president and CEO of H2O Innovation, in the release.

The final project, located in Loudon County, Virginia, involves the design, manufacture and commission of a UF system for Raspberry Falls and Selma Estates. The system will produce 0.45 MGD of potable water.
