Hach Company to give away RTC sludge system

Oct. 4, 2013

LOVELAND, Colo. — The selected facility will be Hach’s flagship and benefit from the company’s continued monitoring, feedback and training.

LOVELAND, Colo. — At this year's Water Environment Federation Technical Exhibition and Conference (WEFTEC) in Chicago, Hach Company gathered applicants for a complete Real-Time Control Sludge Thickening System (RTC-ST) giveaway with all parts and services, valued at $36,000.

A winner will be chosen in October from U.S. wastewater facilities that applied at Hach Company's WEFTEC booth and that qualify for installing the RTC sludge system, the release reported.

According to the release, Hach will install the system as early as year-end 2013 and continue to work with the facility to monitor, provide feedback and train employees, featuring the flagship facility in application notes, webinars and white papers published by Hach.

The system will help operators avoid over dosing polymer, ensure sludge thickness that is optimal for the digester or disposal, improve gas production in the anaerobic digester and reduce equipment maintenance caused by inconsistent sludge, the release noted.
