Cortec’s new brochure, VpCI® Building Blocks and Additives for Water Treatment Formulations, focuses on the prevention of both corrosion and scale buildup in process water. Additives for boilers, heat exchangers, cooling towers, and condensate lines can be instrumental in lengthening the life of a system and reducing maintenance. The brochure includes a selection guide that helps users narrow down their options, which include the following: wash water additive to protect food cans from corrosion during sterilization; corrosion inhibitor for yellow metals in circulating cooling systems; and more. A chart categorizes each product by metals protected, physical state, transport mechanism, solubility, degree of protection, typical applications, and typical dosage.

Inspection and repair program
Q.E.D. Environmental Systems’ Fast-N-Easy Inspection and Repair Program for its LANDTEC portable gas analyzers simplifies the inspection and repair process, allowing customers to improve turnaround times on inspections and repairs, and in many cases, save money. Developed with customer input, at the time customers request a return authorization, they are quoted a flat-rate repair fee based on the analyzer model. Once the customer has issued a purchase order for that flat-rate fee and sent the analyzer to QED, QED will inspect, repair, calibrate, test and finally ship the original analyzer back.
