Solids handling
Zoeller Engineered Products’ solids handling line fits the industry’s need for higher horsepower pumps. The 4” models will provide a moderate flow when pumping against a high head while the 6” pump is ideal for a high flow requirement where a low head exists. The new 64 HD series pumps provide long service life with minimal downtime. The motor is optimally designed with oil-filled housings and non-overloading windings, which enable it to maintain a low operating temperature when facing the harshest of conditions.

Monitor chemical usage
The Carboy-Scale™ from Force Flow allows operators to accurately monitor how much chemical is being used in their treatment process. The scale platform is 100% PVC plastic, making it immune to corrosion. The SOLO G2® digital weight indicator displays the remaining chemical in increments as small as 1/10 lb. Three platform sizes are available to accommodate drums from 5 to 55 gallons.

HDPE coupling
The Victaulic high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe-joining system provides a full line of Installation-Ready™ and grooved solutions from 2” to 36”. The Style 905 Refuse-to-Fuse™ HDPE coupling joins plain-end HDPE pipe 2-8” in diameter. The installation-ready coupling contains stainless-steel restraint rings that bite into the outside diameter as the coupling housing segments are tightened. With no need for disassembly, the assembly process is quick and requires no loose parts. The coupling is also visually inspectable, allowing installers to see a bolt-pad-to-bolt-pad confirmation that the joint is properly assembled.

Liquid level measurement
VEGAPULS 64 accurately detects the liquid level, even in applications with high condensation. The antenna system is encapsulated in PTFE or PEEK, so there are no cavities or crevices in which product can accumulate. The surface of the material is very finely processed with diamond tools, which also considerably reduces product adhesion. In addition, special software algorithms filter out interference caused by buildup on the antenna system. Thanks to the high dynamic range of the sensor, signal attenuation caused by product deposits is largely compensated. This allows the level to be reliably detected even with contamination on the sensor.

Industrial turbine generator
ClearPower North America has expanded the market for its patented, Straflo design Industrial Turbine Generator (ITG) with the launch of its new ITG-M Series for the mining industry. The ITG-M Series allows mining companies to utilize their existing gravity-fed pipelines or outfalls to convert water and selective water slurry flows into a source of sustainable, renewable, low-cost electricity. By harnessing sufficient water flow and head, mining companies that install the ITG-M Series can produce over 30 MW of economical off-grid power, significantly reducing their electricity costs. The ITG-M is capable of producing up to three megawatts of electricity per 150 feet of head.

Ultrasonic sensor
The Greyline DFM 5.1 is designed for “difficult liquids” that would damage regular flow meters such as wastewater, slurries, sludge, chemicals, viscous liquids and abrasives. There is no obstruction to flow and no pressure drop because the device measures flow from outside a pipe. The non-intrusive, clamp-on ultrasonic sensor fits any pipe 1/2” (12.5 mm) inside diameter or larger. The electronics/display enclosure can be mounted nearby. The DFM 5.1 includes a new digital signal processor to filter background noise and interference, and to measure flow rates accurately in liquids containing gas bubbles or solids particles.

Service-in-place progressive cavity pump
NETZSCH Pumps North America has added to its line of FSIP (full service-in-place) NEMO® progressive cavity pumps. Ideal for wear-intensive applications, the FSIP™ design has been re-engineered to provide full access to all the pumps’ rotating parts. Users can open the in-service pump housing, dismantle all rotating parts, and install them again without having to remove the pump from the pipe assembly or having to disconnect wiring. The NEMO’s rotor-stator unit can be lifted out after opening the newly designed inspection cover on the pump housing without the need for any special tools.

Slurry cartridge single seal
Chesterton introduces the 170L Slurry Cartridge Single Seal for heavy duty applications. Engineered to operate reliably in severe slurry environments without external seal flushes in most applications, the seal can help reduce water expenses, especially where clean water is scarce or costly to produce. The 170L is designed to fit Warman® AH® series pumps without pump modification. A single clamping screw prevents equipment shaft damage and simplifies seal removal in sticky or viscous fluids, or where solids have a tendency to clog up standard set screw designs.

Multi-operation survey system
Straightpoint and Tarka-Systems B.V.’s Multi Operation Survey System (MOSS) can collect data from up to six different monitoring devices on a jobsite. Featuring six, 4-20 milliamp (mA) inputs that collect information when multiple types of data are required, captured by load cells, thermometers, anemometers and other technologies, it is typically applied where data needs to be gathered over a period of time. An IP67-rated, portable case, mounted on which are the connectors (also IP67 rated) that can be used while the case is closed, offers protection from the elements.

Valve connector
The new Series 5K DIN valve connector from Canfield Connector provides snug and secure pin contacts on solenoid spades. The 5K runs one wire rather two from the MCCR device to the control box, which reduces moisture intrusion in the box and saves on labor costs. It can be manufactured in a range of plastic housing materials for compatibility with high temperature and various chemical applications. In addition, the 5K has a rugged “straight-line” interface/cord configuration that is versatile for various applications including installation in many limited-space situations.
Portable isokinetic sampler
The ST5® is an automatic isokinetic stack sampler from Aqua Gas for identifying particulate matter and chemical pollutants including but not limited to fine dust, metals, VOCs, and HAPs. Can be used both for isokinetic and constant flow sampling. ST5® is available with or without the front-end sampling equipment as well as a replacement for existing sampling controllers. The ST5® automatically sets the correct isokinetic flow rate, measuring in real time the differential pressure and temperature in stack. It also evaluates flue gas velocity and flow rates. A liquid detector prevents the introduction of condensate in the sampling line.
