Siemens Water Technologies has acquired the JetMix hydraulic mixing system from Liquid Dynamics Corp. This proprietary system agitates sludge within the anaerobic digestion process, optimizing digestion and methane production. The latter can be captured and used as energy within a wastewater treatment facility. Compared to similar mixing systems, the JetMix system allows operators to schedule mixing times, which can reduce power usage by 60% to 80% without decreasing gas production or negatively affecting volatile solids reduction. Electrocoagulation
OilTrap Environmental uses electrocoagulation technology to treat wastewater streams. Electrocoagulation uses a very low voltage DC electrical charge to clean the water. Hach has developed a customized electrochemistry solution for water quality testing that takes the guesswork out of measurements. The new HQd Benchtop meter enhances productivity by allowing for the simplified switching and setup of multiple probes. CastSeal™ is a high-performance brush-on methacrylate compound formulated for sealing porosity in cast iron parts that will contain gases under pressure or liquids.
