Sampling system

Bioplex Technologies has announced the availability of the Porifera Robotic Environmental Monitoring Sentry for municipal and industrial water monitoring applications. Ideal for sampling areas/processes of concern over extended periods for chemicals, biologicals (microbes, larvae) and particles, the robotic sentinel sampler uses solid phase extraction media and can work 24/7 capturing, preparing and archiving samples for analysis back in the lab. The sampling system can be placed in-line to monitor process streams. When packaged in its environmental housing, it can sample from any water body for temporal and spatial mapping of chemical and biological contaminants.

Filter monitoring

New PVC filter monitors from Orange Research measure differential pressure to check the health of filter media in filtration equipment for water and corrosive liquids. The lower cost, smaller size monitors can save hundreds of dollars over the life of a system by indicating the optimum time to clean or replace filters. Savings can be even greater when major components are at risk. The single dial simplifies training, installation and maintenance while reducing operator errors. The filter monitors are available with 1" or 2.5" diameter plastic dial cases. Switches are standard options to alert users of alarm conditions.
