Effluent treatment

Premier Tech Aqua’s new integrated pump version of the Conder ASP HDPE Sewage Treatment Plant has now been improved to include an integral final effluent discharge pump system. Eliminating the need for a separate pumping station to be installed downstream of the drainage, the product will now allow the installer to overcome common obstacles where site conditions mean gravity discharge would be difficult or impossible. Designed for installation where mains drainage is unavailable, the product showcases an integrated blower as standard and optional telescopic extension kit along with completely belowground installation for minimal visual impact.

Biogas generator

WesTech has partnered with Cleanergy to bring the Cleanergy GasBox™ Biogas Generator to the United States. The Cleanergy GasBox™ generates electricity and heat from biogas using a Stirling engine. The GasBox™ requires minimal-to-no gas cleaning, which allows for small and mid-size wastewater treatment plants to achieve the power-generating benefits of biogas utilization. The GasBox™ can also run on biogas with a methane concentration as low as 18%, which alleviates the need at larger plants to burn off this biogas with a natural gas supplement. Applications include: food and beverage production facilities, sludge processing, and dairy plants.

Advanced wastewater pretreatment

Baswood’s BioViper™ system uses patented technologies to provide optimal pretreatment and requires minimal operator oversight and operating costs. The multiple reactor system quickly adapts to fluctuating waste loads without compromising system performance. An enclosed system that has a small footprint and requires minimal operator oversight, it eliminates the need for costly flocculants and polymers or complex odor control systems. The system’s reduced hydraulic retention time, ability to treat fats, oils and grease (FOG) and its increased solids retention provides efficient treatment of wastewater. Applications include dairy processing and the food and beverage industry.

Grit removal system

Hydro International’s HeadCell® advanced grit removal system is a modular, multiple-tray settleable solids concentrator suitable for industrial effluent degritting. Its stacked tray design delivers outstanding grit removal efficiency by providing a large surface area in a small footprint, making it ideal for both new and retrofit applications. Using the Advanced Grit Management philosophy, the HeadCell can be designed to remove 85-95% of all grit entering the plant. The system can now be adapted for intermittent operation by incorporating Hydro International’s fluidizing system into the sump and designing an expanded grit pot collector.
