Process engineering for brewery wastewater
The INVENT HYPERCLASSIC® Hyperboloid Mixer is designed for use in brewery mixing and equalization tanks. Wastewater from a brewery often contains diatomaceous earth, which is carried over from the filtration process and is very fine-grained and highly abrasive, causing wear and tear of the mechanical equipment in the activated sludge tank, clogging of pores in aeration membranes, and abrasion of mechanical aerators. The INVENT HYPERCLASSIC® Hyperboloid Mixer features suspension and homogenization characteristics to mitigate these issues. Because of the installation of the mixer close to the bottom of the tank, its operating performance is not influenced by fluctuating water levels.

Interface level detection
The Type CL-10DJI, Dynatrol® Interface Level Switch has been designed for level detection of interfaces between a liquid and a settled bed of solids. The DJI Interface Detector operates successfully with consistent results on applications such as carbon/water interface, sand/water interface, catalyst/liquid interface, steeping processes, and other selected applications including interface detection between liquids of significant viscosity differences. Reliable operation can be achieved with this control in problem applications where the level of solid material is difficult to detect within a specified liquid. Specialized units can be used in temperatures exceeding 300°F.
