The Heise® handheld pressure calibrator offers practical, state-of-the-art features specifically designed to meet modern line-test application requirements. With the Quick Select® modular sensor system, the PTE-1 can be configured to measure ranges from 0-.25" H2O to 0-10,000 psi. Quick Select interface modules add temperature measurement with RTDs or thermocouples, while on-board jacks provide measurement of voltage and current (mA). Two sensor bays and a twin LCD provide simultaneous display of any two measurements. Application specific features support common calibration tasks such as setting pressure switches and relief valves and calibrating pressure transducers. Laser methane detector

Crowcon has extended its agreement with the technology development arm of a major Japanese gas utility to offer the new LaserMethane® mini (LMm) methane leak detector in North America. Weighing just 600g and measuring W70mm x H179mm x D42mm, the ATEX-approved handheld unit provides users with a long range instrument capable of detecting ppm levels of methane from a distance of up to 100 meters. With advances including automatic ranging, colour LCD, five hour battery, extended temperature range and IP54, it complements the previously launched LaserMethane® Detector (LMD) and utilizes the next generation of Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy (TDLAS). Evaporators

The ENCON Mechanical Vapor Compression (MVC) Evaporator is a breakthrough in wastewater recovery technology that converts dirty wastewater into high quality distilled water for only 1-2 cents per gallon. These systems have a compact footprint with standard evaporation capacities of 40-1,800 gph (and larger with custom systems). They're highly automated for unattended around-the-clock operation including CIP systems that remove scale on heat transfer surfaces to ensure high efficiency. Made of 316SS, other alloys are available for more corrosive applications. Chemical pump

Watson-Marlow Bredel launches its 520RE peristaltic pump for chemical injection applications with expanded pressure capabilities. The combination LoadSure® tube elements and pumphead design allows it to be utilized in applications requiring accurate metering, dosing and transferring of harsh chemicals, including sodium hypochlorite, ferric chloride, sodium bisulfite, fluoride, carbon and lime slurries, polymers, aqueous ammonia, potassium permanganate and caustic slurries. Asahi expands its line of pneumatic and electric actuation products with a range of options and communication packages that include solenoids for on/off applications, positioning devices for modulating applications, and auxiliary limit switches for position indication (also used for safety interlock). Its Series 79 Pneumatic Actuators for quarter turn ball and butterfly valves provide accurate control, especially in corrosive applications. The units are compact, yet durable and available in output torques from 60 to 17,000 inch-pounds based on an 80-psi air supply. Three standard actuator materials are offered: glass reinforced polyamide, cataphoresis and rilsan coated cast aluminum alloy, and 316SS; all of which incorporate ISO and NAMUR mounting configurations for simple installation of accessories. LPU-2428 Loop Powered Ultrasonic Level Sensors from Automation Products Group are now CSA certified for use in Class I, Div. 1, Groups C and D, and Class I, Zone 0, Group IIB hazardous locations. The sensors feature microprocessor control to internally perform volume, flow, and totalization calculations. UV-resistant tank

A specially engineered thermoplastic tank designed for storage and transfer of corrosive fluids is now available for outdoor service.
