Plast-O-Matic has released a new all-purpose PTFE Bellows Solenoid Valve that eliminates fugitive emissions leakage. The thermoplastic valves can be used with all types of fluids, including acids, caustics, solvents, and chlorine solutions. A barrier-type, dynamic seal replaces the elastomer packing of conventional valves. The bellows flex to provide bubble-tight sealing of hazardous fluids and, since PTFE isn’t subject to chemical attack, a working life of over 2,000,000 cycles is normal. A USFilter technology, Siemens Water Technologies’ Memcor CP pressurized membrane system ensures microbial protection, achieving goals set by the EPA’s Long Term 2 Enhanced Surface Water Treatment Rule (LT2ESWTR). It’s also well suited for gravity-driven systems, treatment requiring coagulants and pretreatment to RO applications such as desalination and reuse. With a compact, modular design, the system can be installed and started up quickly, and easily expanded to meet future capacity demands without increasing footprint. Thompson Pump & Manufacturing Co.’s new Arctic KnightTM cold weather pump package allows a diesel-driven pump to be used in climates as cold as -40°F to 110°F. Actual desired temperature inside the enclosure can be pre-set and locked to allow for the most efficient operation. The system eliminates traditional problems of operating pumps in cold climates such as frozen liquids in the pump, cracked pump housings, and engine starting problems. It also eliminates the need for expensive and often unreliable accessory items such as block heaters, fuel heaters and glow plugs. Thompson Pump, Port Orange, FL, 800-767-7310, www.thompsonpump.com

The new Model 220 from Mid-West Instrument provides a simple, low cost loop powered 828 VDC two wire 4-20mA transmitter option using the same CSA, UL & ATEX rated sensor and explosion-proof housing used on its Model 220 with switches. The transmitter with an industrial type terminal strip is housed in heavy-duty, cast aluminum housing. Wiring access is through a ½” NPT port. Accuracy is ±2% from 20% to 100% of full scale. Indicator accuracy is ±2% and is independent of the transmitter. Mid-West Instrument, Sterling Heights, MI, 800-648-5778, www.midwestinstrument.com
