BOSTON — The 2012 Legislator of the Year was awarded to Sen. Jamie Eldridge, D-Acton, and state Rep. Carolyn Dykema, D-Holliston by the Massachusetts Water Works Association (MWWA), according to Wicked Local.
The award is given out every year to a legislator that has helped support the water works community and worked to provide a safe and sufficient supply of drinking water for residents in Massachusetts.
Eldridge and Dykema received the award for their leadership as co-chairs of the Water Infrastructure Finance Commission, noted the article.
“I am very pleased to receive the 2012 MWWA Legislator of the Year award and am honored to share this award with Representative Dykema,” said Eldridge.
