BOSTON — Desalitech has been named in the 2013 Global Cleantech 100 list, which pinpoints private clean technology companies judged to be the most likely to make significant market impact in the next decade, according to an article on investorideas.com.

Desalitech provides high-efficiency water production and wastewater treatment solutions, the article noted, and meets three tenets of clean technology by providing low cost performance, reducing negative ecological impact and improving responsible use of natural resources.

"We are thrilled that our sustainable water treatment products are being recognized by the global Cleantech community," said Desalitech CEO Nadav Efraty.  "Water resources are under tremendous strain, and a lot of this pressure is coming from the industrial sector…the need for more efficient and cost-effective water supply and wastewater treatment solutions is driving demand for our products."

Desalitech was chosen for the list out of 5,864 nominees, the article noted.
