GRANBY, Quebec — None of the plant’s 18 employees were injured in the blaze.

GRANBY, Quebec — An explosion occurred this week at Aldex Chemical, according to an article on CBC News Montreal.

No one was injured in the explosion, the article reported, but nearby buildings were evacuated.

Aldex Chemical's 18 employees were safe as 3,600 kg of polystyrene burned, the article noted.

According to the article, the 34-year-old company specializes in manufacturing resins and synthetic rubber used in wastewater treatment plants.
