Based in Washington, D.C., The Value of Water is a group of both public and private members of the water industry that have come together to educate the public on the importance of clean, safe and reliable water to and from every home and community, to help ensure quality water service for future generations, according to the website.

The Value of Water is made up of xylem, the Water Environment Federation, VEOLIA Water, SUEZ Environnement, U.S. Water Alliance, the National Association of Water Companies, the National Association of Clean Water Agencies, MWH, CH2M HILL, the Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies, the American Water Works Association and American Water.

The group aims to help the public better understand the real value of water in daily life, and recognize that water is shared and irreplaceable.
