The conference is being organized by the Water Technology Centre at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, the article reported, and will focus on reviewing groundwater potential and depletion rates in the face of urbanization and groundwater quality deterioration.

About 150 farm scientists, agricultural engineering professionals, research scholars, students, farmers and planners are expected to attend the conference, the article noted.
