STATE COLLEGE, Pa. — Penn State Extension's Master Well Owner Network, the Department of Environmental Protection and the PA Ground Water Association along with other sponsors are organizing the 2014 Pennsylvania Groundwater Symposium for May 7, 2014, according to an article on NorthcentralPA.com.
The symposium is being organized in celebration of National Drinking Water Week, the article reported.
Building Groundwater Knowledge through Monitoring is the symposium's theme, the article noted, to provide a forum for researchers, students, professionals and educators in the field to exchange information and promote groundwater protection.
According to the article, abstracts will be accepted through Jan. 31 for oral or poster presentations on groundwater topics.
