Thompson Pump’s Conway receives ‘Manny’ Award

PORT ORANGE, Fla. — The award recognizes lifetime achievement in manufacturing.

PORT ORANGE, Fla. — Dale Conway, vice president of engineering at Thompson Pump and Manufacturing Company Inc., has been awarded the Value-added Manufacturing Alliance (VMA) 'Manny' Award and inducted into the VMA Hall of Fame, according to a press release.

The 'Manny' Award recognizes an individual for a lifetime achievement in manufacturing, noted the release.

Conway has 30 years of experience in the pump manufacturing industry and has worked at Thompson Pump since 1984, leading its successful effort to achieve ISO 9001:2008 quality certification for its Port Orange manufacturing facility in 2009, the release reported.

According to the release, Conway oversees all technical aspects of the business in his role as vice president, including manufacturing, engineering, quality assurance, research and development and IT.
