WESTERVILLE, Ohio — The National Ground Water Research and Educational Foundation (NGWREF) funds leading-edge programming that stimulates new knowledge, information, programs and products to advance groundwater science and technology each year, according to a press release.
In turn, this will enhance the future effectiveness of the groundwater professions and will maximize groundwater's benefit to society, noted the release.
The Foundation aims to award up to $25,000 in 2014 for research grant funding, the release reported.
Proposals must be submitted to [email protected] between April 1 and June 30, continued the release, and official action on proposals will be announced on or before October 1 each year.
According to the release, there are several areas where NGWREF research funds will contribute to achieving the Foundation's mission related to groundwater sustainability and public concerns about groundwater quality under the topics of groundwater sustainability and public concerns about groundwater.
