Water for All of Atlas Copco celebrates 30 years

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — Since its establishment by Atlas Copco employees in 1984, Water for All has helped more than 1.5 million people access clean drinking water.

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — Atlas Copco’s non-profit, employee-run Water for All organization is celebrating 30 years of providing people in need with long-term access to safe, clean water and sanitation, according to a press release.

Water for All has helped more than 1.5 million people access clean drinking water since its establishment by Atlas Copco employees in 1984, stated the release.

As Atlas Copco’s main community engagement project, the Water for All initiative donated over $500,000 to 15 projects around the world and helped provide more than 10,000 people with access to clean water and sanitation in the past four years, reported the release.

“What started as a one-time project to raise money to combat drought-stricken communities in Peru, has grown into a worldwide initiative [allowing] our employees to act on their commitment to global sustainability,” said Atlas Copco North America President Jim Levitt. “We are proud to support organizations that raise awareness and take action around the issues of unsafe drinking water and global water scarcity.”
