GE’s Thomas Stanley to headline Techweek Los Angeles panel

TREVOSE, Pa. — Techweek Los Angeles celebrates, enables and showcases “emerging innovation ecosystems” in Los Angeles and along the West Coast, and this year marks the first time the event will cover water and energy issues.

TREVOSE, Pa. — GE announced Thomas Stanley, chief technology officer, water and process technologies for GE Power & Water, will lead a panel at Techweek Los Angeles, which began Nov. 17 and lasts through Nov. 23 at the Santa Monica Pier, according to a press release.

The event celebrates, enables and showcases “emerging innovation ecosystems” in Los Angeles as well as along the West Coast, and this year marks the first time Techweek has covered water and energy issues, stated the release.

Stanley will headline the panel session, “Technology: Game-Changer for a Water Thirsty World,” on the Santa Monica Pier’s FameBit Stage Nov. 21 at 11 a.m. (PST), continued the release.

The release reported that Stanley will be joined by Richard Atwater — executive director on water resources for the Southern California Water Committee, and John Hanula — director of global business development for government and infrastructure for MWH Global, and the panel will be moderated by Susan Karlin, an award-winning technology and science journalist.

In the session, Stanley will highlight key steps to tackle major water challenges through technical innovation and financial support, noted the release.
