United Filters International’s scale reduction additive prevents the formation of scale and rust, both common in mineral-rich water. The No Scale (NS) series filters will reverse preexisting scale deposits by gradually softening and deflocculating scale buildup and carrying it away. These filters are effective in both ferrous and nonferrous metal alloys with efficiencies up to 90 percent in brackish water containing 2,000 ppm of NaCl. No Scale is available in all UFI filter products.
