SAN MARCOS, Texas — Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam Inc. (LAN) hired Gail Hamrick-Pigg, P.E., as senior project manager and key client manager for the Austin – San Antonio Corridor, according to a press release.
Hamrick-Pigg will manage and design infrastructure projects throughout Central Texas, noted the release. She has worked for more than 30 years managing projects and designing in the public and private sectors.
Before taking her new position, Hamrick-Pigg managed the engineer services division for the City of Austin Public Works Department, reported the release, where she led major capital improvement projects. She also served as field operations division manager for Austin Water Utility, where she was involved in pipelines rehabilitation, odor and corrosion control, Infiltration/Inflow and Edwards Aquifer Recharge Zone programs.
Hamrick-Pigg has been involved in several notable water-related projects, including the Western Watershed Sewer Relief Line, Northeast Service Area Wastewater Master Plan, East Austin Pump Station and more, stated the release. She has also served on the board of directors of the Wimberley Water Supply Corporation.
“Gail’s leadership and technical skills combined with her extensive background as a client and a consultant will help LAN better serve our clients in Central and South Texas,” said Drew Hardin, P.E., LAN’s vice president, in the release.
