CEO receives Ellis Island Medal of Honor

BUENA PARK, Calif. — Thousands of nominations were submitted for the honor.

BUENA PARK, Calif. — Founder and CEO of Osmosis Technology Inc./Osmotik, Mike Joulakian, was recently awarded the Ellis Island Medal of Honor, according to a press release.

The award is given to an American citizen “who epitomizes a life dedicated to creating a better world for us all based on his integrity, passion, gravitas, humanitarian and ethnic heritage fostering tolerance and preserving diversity,” stated the release.

Thousands of nominations were submitted for the honor, noted the release. “This distinguished award recognizes Mike’s extraordinary accomplishments, patriotism, humanitarianism and contributions reflecting his gratitude to America for the opportunity to realize his dreams.”

Joulakian founded Osmosis Technology Inc. in 1984, reported the release. Since then, the company has provided American-made water purification products for U.S., European and Asian customers.
