Dow technologies selected as R&D 100 Awards finalists

MIDLAND, Mich. — Five Dow products won R&D 100 awards in 2014.

MIDLAND, Mich. — R&D Magazine selected 21 Dow Chemical Company technologies as finalists for its 2015 R&D 100 Awards, according to a press release.

The innovations were recognized in the green technology, disruptive technology, mechanical devices/materials and process/prototyping categories, noted the release. Dow received the largest amount of nominations of any single developer.

The awards acknowledged a wide range of Dow technologies, including sustainable electronics, water-efficient appliances and innovations to improve safety and fuel efficiency in motor vehicles, stated the release.

"Having 21 products recognized by R&D Magazine is evidence that we have fundamentally transformed the way we innovate," said A.N. Sreeram, corporate vice president of Dow R&D, in the release. "We are working with our customers to rapidly bring innovative products to the market that are high-performing and sustainable by combining High Throughput Research capabilities with the right teams of world-class Dow engineers and scientists. While we appreciate this kind of recognition, we are even more energized by delivering differentiated solutions to our customers that help them bring better solutions to the world."

Each selected innovation was developed as a market-focused solution and commercialized in the past year, shared the release. Five Dow products won R&D 100 awards in 2014.
