DENVER — Sept. 14, 2015 — American Water Works Association (AWWA) members have until 5 p.m. MT on Sept. 15 to take advantage of early registration for the second annual Water Infrastructure Conference & Exposition, according to a press release.
The event will be held in Bethesda, Maryland, Oct. 13-16, noted the release. Attendees can register for preconference workshops, daily or full-conference rates. Sept. 25 is the hotel registration deadline.
The conference will present solutions to infrastructure challenges related to asset management, emergency preparedness planning, cyber risk management, pipe replacement and rehabilitation, managing nonrevenue water loss and optimizing utility operations with big data.
Paul N. Stockton will open the general session, stated the release. Stockton is recognized around the globe for his leadership in infrastructure resilience, continuity planning, installation and personnel security as well as U.S. national security and foreign policy.
The largest nonprofit, scientific and education association dedicated to the management and treatment of water, AWWA has about 50,000 members, reported the release.
