Ecolab opens state-of-the-art training facility

To encourage better water management practices, Nalco Water, Ecolab’s global water management business, has created Water University, a hands-on training facility at Nalco Water’s Naperville campus for customers and associates. Lieutenant Governor Evelyn Sanguinetti, former U.S. Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen, State Senator Michael Connelly and Naperville Mayor Steve Chirico, as well as leaders from industry and non-governmental organizations and other local representatives, were a part of the opening ceremonies on Oct. 23. The innovative learning environment showcases water management technologies serving a variety of industries. It features a training facility with a lab and a range of equipment for hands-on training. Water University is expected to host more than 2,200 global visitors in 2018.

Endress+Hauser Canada partners with Intrepid Group

Endress+Hauser has concluded an agreement with Intrepid Group Ltd that makes the Alberta-based process automation company its latest Authorized Channel Partner. The move, which leverages the strong oil and gas experience of both organizations, adds to the sales and support services of Endress+Hauser in Alberta, directing more resources to the oil and gas, food and beverage and water and wastewater industry segments, which will help Alberta’s production capabilities. The deal gives Intrepid Group access to best-in-class measurement technologies that improve plant availability, enhance safety and contribute to more efficient production, thereby lowering production costs and life-cycle costs.

Shelco Filters completes expansion

To meet increased demand for its ultra-premium MicroVantage line of filters and cartridges, Shelco Filters has expanded its manufacturing facility by more than 20,000 square feet. The expansion, which was completed this month, will be dedicated to the production and testing of the company’s pleating operation for its filter cartridges and other Shelco products. Shelco’s pleated cartridges, membrane cartridges and high-purity cartridges are designed to meet and exceed the demanding specifications of today’s industries – from food and beverage to chemicals, gases and paints. The line includes sanitary filter housings and high-purity housings for critical and demanding applications that require maximum durability, ease-of-use and value.
