Summary

Energy recovery devices (ERDs) are often associated with high-pressure seawater desalination systems. As a result, many municipal and industrial operators assume the economics do not work for lower-pressure brackish water reverse osmosis (BWRO) and water reuse applications.

In this webinar, Energy Recovery will examine the hidden energy costs of operating low-pressure RO systems without energy recovery and explain why that assumption is often incorrect. Attendees will learn how pressure energy is commonly lost in RO systems, how modern low-pressure PX® technology recovers that otherwise wasted energy, and where the strongest opportunities exist across municipal reuse, industrial water reuse, and BWRO applications.

He has over 25 years of experience in the industry, having held various roles including commissioning engineer, process and maintenance engineer, plant sub-manager, and technical manager. With a focus on technical consulting, he has participated in the execution of desalination projects in diverse regions worldwide, including the United States, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
