IAPMO teams up with QWEL for urban water-efficiency programs

CALIFORNIA —The International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) and Qualified Water Efficient Landscaper (QWEL) announced that they would be working together to perform water-use efficiency training in their respective fields, according to a press release.

The goal of the partnership is to help local water agencies become local certifying organizations for plumbing and landscaping training, the organizations explained in the release.

In the press release, IAPMO and QWEL encouraged interested parties to visit them at booth 214 during the 2014 WaterSmart Innovations Conference and Exposition, taking place in Las Vegas.

Both organizations are partnered with WaterSense, and QWEL has helped to train more than 700 professionals and IAPMO’s Green Plumber has taught over 9,000 individuals, the release reported.
