AUSTIN, Texas — IDE Technologies announced its expansion in the U.S. with its new office in Texas as well as the appointment of Mark Ellison as a regional director of sales, according to a press release.
Ellison brings years of experience to IDE in management and economic development in the water industry, and previously served as manager of strategic water initiatives for the former governor of Texas, Rick Perry, stated the release.
In his new position with IDE, Ellison will help to increase awareness and sales for IDE’s water desalination and industrial water treatment solutions throughout Texas, continued the release.
The release reported that prior to IDE, Ellison worked for more than 20 years on water-related projects in the state with local, state and federal agencies, as well as with others within the water industry.
Additionally, he helped municipal and private water utilities become a part of the state’s overall economic development effort to provide water for existing and newly-recruited companies in Texas, and served as a special advisor for economic development at the Texas Water Development Board, noted the release.
“Groundwater and surface water resources in Texas are at a challenging stage, and the state has faced significant drought conditions for several years,” said IDE Americas CEO Mark Lambert. “With more than one thousand people moving to Texas every day, there is a growing need for new water sources. By entering this key market, IDE is set to help meet this need through seawater desalination and water treatment projects, and Mark is the perfect person to drive these efforts.
