IDE Technologies shortlisted for Global Water Awards

KADIMA, Israel — IDE was on the shortlist for Desalination Company of the Year and Desalination Plant of the Year.

KADIMA, Israel — IDE Technologies has announced that it has been shortlisted in two categories of the Global Water Awards, according to a press release.

The company was shortlisted for Desalination Company of the Year, which it won in 2011 and which honors desalination plant suppliers that made the greatest overall contribution to the desalination industry in 2013, noted the release.

IDE was also shortlisted for Desalination Plant of the Year, which recognizes desalination plants commissioned in 2013 that represent the most impressive technical or ecologically sustainable achievement in the industry, for its Sorek plant, the world's largest and most advanced seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant, the release reported.

Each year, continued the release, the Global Water Awards acknowledge the most important achievements in the international water industry in several categories, including Desalination Company of the Year, Desalination Plant of the Year and Desalination Deal of the Year, which IDE won in 2013, together with its partners, for the Carlsbad Project.
