Industry remembers Robert ‘Bob’ Marsh

Sept. 4, 2014

VISTA, Calif. — Marsh was one of the first to custom design and sell softening equipment to the U.K. and Europe.

VISTA, Calif. — Robert “Bob” E. Marsh passed away earlier this year at the age of 93, according to a recent release by Dime Water Inc.

Marsh’s extensive knowledge of plastics and plastic processing led to the first blow molded brine tanks and cabinets, as well as pressure vessels with built-in distributors and separate chambers, stated the release.

The release continued that Marsh also produced several unique systems and components still in use in the residential reverse osmosis (RO) business.

As one of the first to custom design and sell softening equipment to the U.K. and Europe, he opened the doors for other U.S. companies to do the same, leading Marsh to launch a manufacturing facility in England, reported the release.

Marsh also established factories in Wisconsin and California, noted the release.
