The Water Environment Federation is excited for WEFTEC 2022 on October 8-12 in New Orleans. The theme this year is Create Connection, Transform Tomorrow. Highlights include:
- Opening General Session keynote by Shama Hyder. Hyder, an award-winning brand strategist, global speaker and bestselling author, will provide the keynote address at the WEFTEC 2022 Opening General Session. She will share her insights on how modern communications, marketing and branding are more important than ever for the water sector.
- Waterside Chat on the 50th anniversary of the Clean Water Act. This plenary session with feature speakers and moderated panels on the past, present and future of the Clean Water Act. October 2022 marks 50 years since the landmark law was passed. The experts will discuss the origins and impact of the CWA, current activities under the law, where it may be headed and the water issues it needs to address in the future.
- Education opportunities at WEFTEC abound with 120 technical sessions, dozens of sessions in our pavilions, 16 workshops and seven technology spotlights from exhibiting companies. Educational topics cover a wide range, including timely topics such as PFAS, workforce issues and infrastructure funding, and also include topics for everyday issues such as utility management, facility operations, treatment design, industrial issues and many others. The sessions include a variety of ways to learn from in-depth workshops to interactive sessions to lecture sessions.
- Networking: WEFTEC also includes many opportunities to connect and meet others with similar interests and affinities, particularly in Learning Exchange sessions where peer-to-peer learning takes place, and the Meet Ups in the exhibition where people can casually connect and build their network.
- More than 700 exhibiting companies will showcase their products and services. The exhibition floor will also feature the Innovation Pavilion, Stormwater Pavilion and Global Center as places to hear from experts and meet with companies working in these areas. - WEFTEC Live: This livestream broadcast from a studio on the exhibition floor of WEFTEC 2022 will expand on what we shared last year to let everyone experience a sample of all that WEFTEC has to offer.
