WASHINGTON — Squire Patton Boggs, the firm that worked with AWWA to design the Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (WIFIA), has scheduled the webinar for Sept. 17.
WASHINGTON — On Sept. 17, a free webinar detailing the new Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (WIFIA), will take place from 3:30 to 5 p.m. (EST), according to a press release.
WIFIA is a low-cost loan program for major water infrastructure projects, passed into law as part of the Water Resources Reform and Development Act (WRRDA), stated the release.
Aurel Arndt, AWWA water utility council chair and CEO of the Lehigh County authority, as well as AWWA Deputy Executive Director for Government Affairs Tom Curtis, will be among the panelists for the webinar, which will include representatives of water utilities, experts in public private partnerships (P3s) and other potential investors and partners in WIFIA, noted the release.
