SAN FRANCISCO, CA, Sept. 30, 2009 -- The Artemis Project announced today that it is launching a new series of executive briefs, Corporate Water Strategy Update, designed to keep corporate decision makers informed of the latest developments in enterprise water management and advanced water technologies. The inaugural volume in the series, "Beyond Water Footprints to Strategic Water Management," provides background on the evolution of corporate water strategy, along with specific examples of how companies are leveraging water-saving technologies to get an edge on the competition.

"Historically, strategic water management hasn't been a major issue for most companies in the US because supplies have been inexpensive and competitive pressures low. But those days are coming to an end," notes Laura Shenkar, Principal of The Artemis Project. "Businesses that do not develop a water strategy increasingly risk having their more visionary competitors turn water scarcity into a sustainable competitive advantage."

The brief highlights examples of water management strategies being employed by large multi-national corporations, including Frito-Lay, Wal-Mart and Lockheed Martin. It also features several emerging companies, such as HydroPoint Data Systems, PureSense, EnviroTower, Atlantium and Falcon Waterfree, providing advanced water technologies to global companies.

"This series is a must-read," said G.G. Pique, President and CEO of publicly traded Energy Recovery Inc. "The Artemis Project is the connective tissue of the modern water industry. Water suppliers, project financiers, corporate executives and emerging technology companies all rely on the research and insights developed by Laura and her team."
