TOPSFIELD, Mass. — The global hub of information and resources about desalination and water reuse, the International Desalination Association (IDA) has been a Strategic Partner for Singapore Water Week (SIWW) since the event’s inception, according to a press release.

IDA will once again have a high profile at the event, co-organizing with PUB (Public Utilities Board), Singapore’s national water agency, the Desalination and Water Reuse Business Forum, participating in the Water Leaders Summit, exhibiting in the Water Expo and conducting a two-day IDA Desalination Academy course, the release reported.

Now held every two years, SIWW is one of the world’s largest events focused on water strategies, noted the release, taking place June 1-5 at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands.

The Desalination and Water Reuse Business Forum will be held on Wednesday, June 4 from 2 to 5 p.m., continued the release, focusing on the latest in desalination and water reuse technologies and business opportunities, with sessions presented by technology and utility leaders.

According to the release, IDA will also be well represented at the invitation-only Water Leaders Summit, in which Dr. Abdullah Al-Alshaikh, deputy governor for planning and development of Saline water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) and IDA president, will participate, and the Association will offer an intensive two-day IDA Desalination Academy program on May 31-June 1.
