DENVER — The U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration (ITA) and the American Water Works Association (AWWA) announced an agreement to co-host a U.S. pavilion at the 2015 Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX 2015), according to a press release.

WETEX 2015, an international show focused on the areas of water conservation, building a sustainable environment and saving natural resources, will take place April 21-23, 2015, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, according to a press release.

AWWA and ITA have contracted with Kallman Worldwide Inc. to manage the U.S. pavilion at the international show for U.S.-based exhibitors looking to expand their businesses in the global water sector, continued the release.

The release reported that AWWA will use award funds received from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Market Development Cooperator Program to assist in covering the cost for exhibitors at the pavilion.

The Department of Commerce recently presented AWWA with an award to support projects intended to increase U.S. exports, strengthen the nation’s global competitiveness and create jobs, noted the release.

“Both AWWA and ITA are eagerly anticipating a presence at 2015’s WETEX in a co-hosted United Sates pavilion,” said AWWA Chief Executive Officer David LaFrance. “We are striving to reach the international water sector, and this partnership with ITA and the award funds provided to us by the U.S. Department of Commerce are helping us to accomplish that goal.”
