Journal AWWA peer-reviewed articles now available for free online

DENVER — The American Water Works Association’s (AWWA) Journal AWWA is the first publication in the water industry to transition to an open access model.

DENVER — Peer-reviewed articles in Journal – American Water Works Association (Journal AWWA) are now available and are free to view online and download, according to a press release.

While many scholarly publications have recently adopted an open access model for their content, AWWA’s journal is the first publication in the water industry to transition to this concept, stated the release.

Published continuously since 1914, Journal AWWA is the flagship publication for AWWA and includes both scholarly and professional content, added the release.

All peer-reviewed articles published after Jan. 1, 2015, as part of Journal AWWA’s transition to an open access model, will be available for the public to download and view, and there will not be any charges to authors as part of this new publication policy, reported the release.

The release noted that 25 years of Journal AWWA’s back issues will be made available to the public at no charge later this year.
