KMS installs ultrafiltration modules at major steel mill in Inner Mongolia

WILMINGTON, Mass. — Koch Membrane Systems Inc. (KMS) is an international developer and manufacturer of innovative membranes and membrane filtration systems.

WILMINGTON, Mass. — Koch Membrane Systems Inc. (KMS), announced the installation of its PURON® HF ultrafiltration (UF) modules at a major steel mill in Inner Mongolia, China, according to a press release.

With a capacity of 57,600 cubic meters per day, the UF system is the first large application of the PURON HF product in the metals industry, stated the release.

The steel mill’s treated water will serve as mill service water and meet permeate turbidity requirements of less than 0.2 NTU, and a silt density index (SDI) of less than three, noted the release.
