SALT LAKE CITY — Purestream Services is operating its first Permian-based IGF Plus commercial water treatment system for a large producer near Midland, Texas, that produces 5,000 barrels per day, according to a press release.
Purestream Services was contracted to treat the wastewater serving a series of wells at a centralized water treatment facility operated by the producer, stated the release.
The release reported that as part of an integrated water resource conservation effort by the company, the treated water processed by the system will be reused.
“The IGF Plus system allows producers to integrate new water treatment options into exisiting operations often at or below disposal and sourcing costs while meeting thresholds for reuse,” said Purestream CEO Neil Richardson. “We are pleased to be introducing this process to the oil and gas industry in the Permian Basin.”
Purestream Services is also contracted to provide four IGF Plus systems for additional producers located near Midland early in 2015, noted the release.
