CALUMET COUNTY, Wis. — Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) officials reported that local groundwater could be impacted by a recent manure spill close to Lake Winnebago, according to a release provided by WTAQ.

Cleanup crews have responded to the manure spill located at the Meyer Farms dairy, stated the release.

The release reported that vacuum trucks have been called in to help collect some of the manure, and to hold the manure on site, road culverts have been blocked.

DNR officials ask private well owners to closely monitor the quality of water and to immediately report any changes in the color or odor of the water to local health officials and the DNR, noted the release.
