MFG Chemical to upgrade Georgia plants

MFG Chemical announced it plans to invest in safety and efficiency upgrades for its three Dalton, Georgia, manufacturing plants. This upgrade, named Project Odyssey, will improve management systems related to process safety and key compliance workflows. It will also increase plant capacity and efficiency to meet the demand coming from specialty chemical markets, including agriculture, paints and coatings, lubricants, mining, pulp and paper and water treatment. Improvements will include new cooling towers, new process control technology, upgraded reactor piping for improved pressure relief and new safety instrumented systems.

Pentair and SunTech Drive collaborate on pumping solution

Pentair, a global water treatment company, and SunTech Drive anounced a strategic collaboration to deliver simplified solar pumping solutions. The first innovation resulting from this collaboration integrates SunTech Drive’s solar control platform into Pentair’s Pentek variable speed drive technology. The Pentair Pentek Solar Drives are compatible with standard alternating current (AC) motors. As a result, customers can use pumps they stock and retrofit existing systems with 4-inch AC submersible pumps and motors.
