OMAHA, Neb. — HDR Water & Natural Resources will have 24 water and wastewater professionals participating in presentations and workshops at the 86th annual Water Environment Federation Technical Exhibition and Conference (WEFTEC) this Oct. 5-9, according to a press release.

WEFTEC, which features the latest in water quality research, technology and services for wastewater specialists, will take place at the McCormick Place South Convention Center in Chicago this year, according to the release.

HDR professionals will be presenting papers in technical sessions, participating in workshops, acting as session moderators and giving poster presentations, the release reported.

Joe Cleary of Mahwah, N.J., Hany Gerges of Walnut Creek, Calif. and JB Neethling of Folson, Calif. will be presenting multiple papers, continued the release, and three HDR professionals will be participating in the Leading Edge Nutrient Removal Research and Practical Applications half-day session on Oct. 7.

Another highlight of the convention will be the WEF Young Professionals Community service project on Oct. 5, which will replace the concrete on the playground at Haines Elementary School in the Chinatown district of Chicago with green infrastructure, according to the release.
