LONDON, Ontario — TrojanUV's TrojanUVSigna™ has been selected by the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (MWRD) for the Terrence J. O'Brien Water Reclamation Plant in Skokie, Ill., according to a press release.

The system is specifically designed for large-scale wastewater disinfection applications, the release noted.

"Municipalities who selected the TrojanUVSigna are choosing today's most innovative and advanced UV disinfection technology," said Marv DeVies, president of Trojan Technologies.

"The TrojanUVSigna, with Solo Lamp Technology, is the ideal solution for large facilities who want to cost-effectively install new disinfection facilities or convert from chlorine to UV disinfection," added DeVries.

The Terrence J. O'Brien Water Reclamation Plant is an activated sludge, single stage nitrification plant that serves more than 1.3 million people, reported the release.
