New market study predicts municipal wastewater growth in Europe

DUBLIN — Research and Markets has announced the addition of the "Market Study Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plants in Europe (Analyst Version)" report to their offering, according to a press release published by Digital Journal.

The number of municipal wastewater treatment plants in Europe has increased steadily over the past 20 years, while their technical standard improved, the release reported, and the market for municipal wastewater treatment plants will continue to grow in the long term.

The EU Urban Wastewater Treatment Directive and the EU Water Framework Directive still provide the strongest market stimuli, especially in Eastern and Southern Europe, noted the release.

By contrast, the release continued, maintenance and renewals as well as measures for reducing operational costs (primarily in terms of energy) dominate in Central and Northern Europe.

According to the release, key topics of the study include: Differentiation, technology, European legal framework, other market drivers, the European market for municipal wastewater treatment plants, providers/competition and country markets.
