DUBLIN — Research and Markets has released a report titled "Market Study Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plants in Europe (Analyst version)," according to a press release on the Water Environment Federation website.
The report suggests that by 2017, investments in European wastewater treatment plants will amount to about 37.6 billion euros, continued the release, with Southern and Eastern Europe seeing the most growth.
Germany will remain the largest national market, the release reported.
According to the release, the 71,000 municipal wastewater treatment plants in the 28 EU member states, Iceland, Norway and Switzerland have a total treatment capacity of 775 million population equivalents (the average organic polluting load per inhabitant per day).
