A. O. Smith Corporation recently acquired LVC Holdco LLC, the parent company of Leonard Valve and its Heat-Timer brand, for $470 million, according to a company release. The deal is valued at approximately $412 million. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2026, pending regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.

Founded in 1911, Leonard Valve manufactures digital and thermostatic mixing valve technologies, while Heat-Timer provides boiler controls used to manage hydronic heating systems. Their products are used in commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities where temperature control, safety, and system reliability are central requirements.

The acquisition will expand A. O. Smith’s presence in the water management sector and complement its existing water heater and boiler operations. Company leadership said the combined portfolio will support efforts to advance connected and digitally enabled water technologies.

According to Leonard Valve officials, joining A. O. Smith will support broader adoption of digital water-management solutions and provide additional resources for future growth. Leadership from both companies said they anticipate operational and product integration opportunities following the close of the transaction.
