WESTERVILLE, Ohio — The National Ground Water Association (NGWA) announced new officers and directors have been named to its 2015 national and divisional boards, according to a press release.

An NGWA member for 30 years, Richard Thron, MGWC, of Mantyla Well Drilling Inc., located in Lakeland, Minnesota, will head the national board, stated the release.

Thron, reported the release, has served on both NGWA and Minnesota Water Well Association boards and is known “as a tireless advocate for groundwater and the groundwater professions who takes pride in what the groundwater industry provides.”

“I get to provide the second most important thing for survival to my customers,” said Thron. “People don’t often realize how lucky they are to have clean, clear water they can trust.”

After completing four years in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War, Thron started working at his father’s business, Mantyla Well Drilling, continued the release.

The release noted that other new additions to NGWA’s national board include, but are not limited to: Jeffrey W.
