COLUMBUS, Ohio — The National Groundwater Association (NGWA) has a number of upcoming educational and industry events, according to its website.

A half-hour online presentation entitled "Reduce and Mitigate Problematic Concentrations of Methane in Residential Water Well Systems" will take place March 19, the website noted, and concisely describe the fundamentals of the NGWA-produced industry best suggested practices.

The 2014 Pacific Northwest Ground Water Exposition will take place March 28-29 in Portland, Ore., reported the website, bringing together ground water industry professionals from Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, Washington and surrounding areas for the premier biennial industry event in the region.

"A National Valuation of Groundwater: The Australian Experience," a half-hour online presentation, will take place April 15 to educate participants about the key role groundwater plays in Australia’s economy, added the website.

Another half-hour online presentation listed on the website is "Reducing Problematic Concentrations of Perchlorate in Residential Water Well Systems," set for April 16.

A final half-hour online presentation slated for April 28, according to the website, is "Hydrophilanthropy: The Road to Help (Is Paved with Good Intentions)."
